The CAEW will meet as often as necessary and not less than once every three months.

  • Advise staff members who handle animals
  • Advise on how to apply the three Rs (reduction, replacement, and refinement)
  • Review the operational processes concerning animal welfare
  • Advise on norms for housing and socialization of animals
  • Draft the report referenced in article 33.1 (approval of the CAEW)
