On 28 September 2020, the IIS-FJD joined the group of research centers that have obtained the European Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) seal. This distinction accredits those institutions that work to ensure open, transparent, merit-based and capacity-based researcher recruitment processes, following the principles set out in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct.

In order to obtain it, the IIS-FJD presented an Action Plan and a Gap Analysis with the objective of aligning its human resources policy with the principles of the European Union that aim to contribute to the development of an attractive European labour market for researchers.
